About the Multilock Backup

This tool uses scrypt and AES-256 to decrypt parts of your backup with passwords, then combines the parts with Shamir's secret sharing scheme to restore the original information. None of your information is ever sent to a server.

  2. Decrypt your secret information

    Enter at least as many passwords as is required by your backup. The passwords may be entered in any order.

  3. Restore your wallet

    If you need to copy your secret information, write it onto a piece of paper.

    Follow your cryptocurrency wallet's instructions for restoring a backup from a recovery phrase or private key.

    After restoring your wallet, destroy the piece of paper that you wrote your secret information onto.
